Jazz

After studying at the Rivers School Conservatory and playing with Boston based swing band The Beantown Swing Orchestra throughout high school, Joe attended Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music to pursue a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies. While there, Joe composed, arranged, and played lead trombone for the Northwestern University Jazz Orchestra, as well as playing in a variety of Jazz Small Ensembles. At Northwestern, Joe had the opportunity to study with great musicians such as Tom Garling, Joe Clark, Jeremy Kahn, Kevin Fort, Darius Hampton, and Victor Goines. After graduating, Joe continues to gig, compose, and arrange, and was recently selected as the Rivers School Conservatory's commissioned composer for the 2022 Rivers Jazz Festival.
