ABOUT
Joe Nedder is a 24 year-old composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. After studying music in pre-college programs at the Rivers School Conservatory, the Berklee College of music, and NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Joe went on to pursue a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies from Northwestern University.
While a senior at Northwestern, Joe began his professional career in composition, working as a composer for "White Stork Music," writing sample cues for shows including "Below Deck" and "Fast Foodies." Upon graduating in 2022, Joe moved to Los Angeles to continue working as a composer's assistant and session musician.
After working for composers including Joshua Moshier (Looney Tunes), Daniel James Chan (Supergirl), and Darren Fung (Equus: Story of the Horse), Joe was approached by producer and script writer Tom Chiodo (PBS), who pitched him a concept for a 1-act, immersive musical entitled "Adventures in the Great Beyond."
After two LA-based workshops, "Adventures in the Great Beyond" ran for six weeks at LA's Hudson Theater, where Joe served as the musical director and keyboard conductor. Critics agreed that Nedder's compositions and orchestrations were a true highlight of the show.
Following the success of Adventures, Joe continues to work as a writer and session musician. In addition to his ongoing projects, Joe has a new full length musical currently in development, which he hopes to have in workshop as early as fall 2025.
